The older I get, the more I, Julia, start to dress like my mother. Not in the like "I wear mom jeans and rock a scrunchie look." Heaven forbid. No, I mean that I am starting to know the value of things like a good button down, a statement necklace and a cigarette pant.

One of my favorite looks of my mother's that I copy (give credit where credit is due) is dressing from head to toe in one color. My mother is only 5'2" so she uses this technique to make her look taller. Allison and I are both 5'6" so that's less of a concern for us, but it does make one look slimmer so we are all aboard that train. We also like it because it looks so chic and pulled together.

So for this week's How We Style It, we have put together some of our favorite monochromatic looks. Since I am out gallivanting around Paris pretending I'm Brigette Bardot, Allison has been so kind to publish this post.
